          "Painting for me is a difficult joy . It’s a process of expressing my own response to the experiences and memories that a visual idea can espouse . In this process I find myself fascinated by both a distant horizon and the very close an intimate space of still life painting. The meshing of these spaces, combined often with a Quirky or even Surreal idea is the essence of my pursuit."
