ROBERT DELVES

Robert Delves
ABOUT THE ARTIST

Melbourne-based sculptor has been working for twenty years in a variety of media. This exhibition sees a suite of icons from recent art history. Constructed from street signs, these cut-out figures rise-up from the ground with mirrored, metal-plated shadows. The Art Rebel references a drawing Delves made of English sculptor, Anthony Caro - from the silhouetted drawing of Caro, came a sinister outline of a hooded character: an Art Rebel.
