Following on from her successful collaboration with cinematographer Seamus McGarvey in last year’s exhibition Burnt Memory, for The Monday Room Lisa Tomasetti has collaborated with renowned theatre lighting designer Nick Schlieper and cinematographer Martin McGrath to create large scale portraits inspired by the work of the painter Edward Hopper.
Tomasetti’s work has been acquired by numerous public art collections including the National Gallery of Australia, The Art Gallery of South Australia, The Art Gallery of Western Australia, ArtBank, as well as many private collections.
She has been a finalist in the 2006 Archibald Photographic Art Prize and finalist in the 2009 and 2011 National Portrait Gallery Photographic Prize.
Tomasetti has been a film stills photographer for the last 16 years with credits that include Shine, Star Wars Ep-2 and Charlotte’s Web.
